The GES PTA Community Outreach Committee is hoping to shower our senior neighbors with Valentine’s Day Cards, this year’s version of the Silver Angels programs that have taken place the past two years. We have a list of over 100 friends who would appreciate cards, notes or pictures from your students. The committee is working with Envoy At The Meadows nursing home and Meals On Wheels to bring a little extra love to these folks. Adding just one extra valentine to those your child is sending to their friends will bring a world of joy to our senior neighbors! We need to have the cards in school by Thursday, February 10, 2011, so that we can distribute them before the holiday. There will be a collection box in the front office. No recipient names are necessary, and please include only the student’s first name and teacher’s name/grade on the cards.
